Hallo Minori,
My course is really exciting but heavy. I'd like to thank you for improving my English little by little because you call me every day. Anyway I don't understand the structure about some sentences of the text book. Could I ask you my question?
"Nuclear power creates nearly zero carbon dioxide, which has, we are afraid, a bad effect on the environment." (middle of p.169) (translation →環境への悪影響が懸念される二酸化炭素の排出量は、原子力の場合はほぼありません。)
I feel like "「 Nuclear power creates nearly zero carbon dioxide 」 has a bad effect on the environment.". (「原子力は二酸化炭素ゼロである」ことは環境に悪い影響がある。)
Because the sentence is used ", which". I understand if it is "Nuclear power doesn't nearly create carbon dioxide which has a bad effect on the environment what we are afraid."
I'm a little bit confuse. Please give me some tips!
Regard,
